OFC (Optical Fiber Communication Conference) is the world's largest conference on optical communication and optical networking technologies, held every March in the United States.

In 2025, OFC2025 will celebrate its 50th anniversary, and companies and research institutes from all over the world, including Japan, will gather to introduce the latest technologies in the industry, and SYCATUS will be presenting its cutting-edge optical communication technology solutions at the OFC2025 exhibition.

OFC2025 Location, Date, and Main Theme

OFC2025 will be held from March 30 to April 3, 2025 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, USA.

More than 13,500 registrations from over 83 countries are expected, with showcases by more than 600 global companies and hundreds of sessions by industry-renowned and invited speakers.

Topics include 1.6 terabits, AI, coherent PON, linear pluggable optics (LPO), multicore fiber, data center technologies, quantum networking, and more, with research presentations on innovative networking technologies that will shape the future of optical communications technology and communications infrastructure.

SYCATUS Exhibit Details

SYCATUS will be exhibiting at OFC2025, focusing on products that were well received at the 2024 exhibition, as well as two representative light noise measurement products related to optical communication technology systems and FMCW LiDAR measurement systems (booth number: 5115, OgMentum Inc.).

Visitors to the booth will be able to see firsthand their functions and technical details through product exhibition.

Exhibit 1) RIN (Relative Intensity Noise) Measurement System A0010A

The A0010A uses a high-sensitivity, low-noise light receiver and Keysight's X series signal analyzer to measure RIN in a wide bandwidth of 50 GHz.

The wide wavelength bandwidth of 780 to 1625 nm is also supported, allowing measurements with extremely high accuracy. This product is indispensable for evaluating the performance of relative intensity noise in optical communication technology.

Exhibit 2) Optical Noise (Linewidth) Analyzer A0040A

The A0040A Optical Noise Analyzer is the industry's first breakthrough solution for evaluating laser linewidth as a power spectral density of light frequency noise. The A0040A is a product that will revolutionize optical communication technology by enabling simple, fast, and accurate analysis of the white noise linewidth of lasers for digital coherent applications.

Exhibit 3) FMCW LiDAR Measurement System A0070A

A0070A The Optical Frequency Analyzer is an innovative system dedicated to the evaluation of lasers for FMCW LiDAR.

It enables real-time observation of light frequency modulation waveforms and extracts its components without the influence of light intensity modulation. No pre-measurement adjustments are required, the waveform is displayed immediately after laser input, and its high linearity enables accurate measurements even for wide light frequency deviations.

The A0070A allows easy development and manufacturing of FMCW LiDAR.

Customer feedback at the OFC2024 exhibition

We received a number of questions from visitors to the OFC2024 exhibition, such as

"What is the measurement range of RIN? "
"What bandwidth of light frequency noise can be measured?"
"What is the time required for noise measurement?"

SYCATUS' A0010A RIN measurement system can accurately measure relative intensity noise down to -172 dB/Hz, and the A0040A optical noise (linewidth) analyzer can evaluate light frequency noise over a wide bandwidth of 5 Hz to 255 MHz.

Both products were well received by many visitors because of their ability to complete measurements in a few seconds to a few dozen seconds and to acquire data efficiently.
